Jim BarbooklesChairman and CEO
Before joining, Mr. Barbookles was a consultant to several Fortune 500 companies and previously served as President and CEO of a major US water analysis instrumentation manufacturer. His past responsibilities also included positions in manufacturing and operations with United Technologies, American Optical, Cambridge Instruments and Thermo Electron. He graduated from Buffalo State University with a BS in Electrical Engineering and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute with an MBA.
Prior to joining Nova Metrix, Mr. Cohen served in various executive roles at a number of publically-traded companies including Larson Davis and Harvard Bioscience – a leading molecular biology manufacturer and supplier of instrumentation and consumables. Mr. Cohen also has experience in the acoustic and vibration industry, holding a number of Operations and Management positions in this field. Mr. Cohen received an undergraduate degree in Microbiology from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, a Master’s Degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Massachusetts at Lowell and an MBA from Northeastern University.
Elizabeth Brookman Division Controller
Before joining Nova, Ms. Brookman served in various accounting and finance capacities for a number of domestic and international manufacturing organizations, including both private and public entities. Most recently, Ms. Brookman served as Vice President of Finance, for Ametek MRO, a division of Ametek, a publicly-traded global manufacturer of electronic instruments and electromechanical devices with its headquarters in the United States and over 220 manufacturing sites worldwide. Ms. Brookman holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Southern Illinois University and is certified by The Institute of Management Accountants as a Certified Management Accountant.
